Today was all about whales! We traveled from the port of Santa Rosalia to the lagoons of San Ignacio. After a thorough briefing from local guides and an early lunch, we boarded pangas and the magic began.

These lagoons are world famous as a sanctuary for gray whales. Newborn calves are nursed by their mothers in these warm, protected waters and the experienced panga drivers know exactly how to respect them while offering lucky explorers like us excellent views. We were thrilled to see them up close and even have friendly encounters with these magnificent creatures in this unique and special place.

After a full day off the ship, we arrived at our floating home for dinner and shared epic stories and pictures from the day.
