Nancy Sheehan

Nancy has been a practicing massage therapist for more than 30 years. Her interest in massage therapy began while training for her first triathlon, an experience that introduced her to the benefits of bodywork and inspired a lifelong professional path. She went on to study at the International School of Massage Therapy in San Francisco, building the foundation for a career dedicated to health, wellness and helping others achieve greater balance.

She later founded Cranbury Therapeutic Massage, a successful practice based on the belief that regular massage therapy can be both deeply relaxing and an important part of long-term well-being. Over the years, she has worked with clients from a wide range of backgrounds, tailoring her approach to support individual needs and goals.

Nancy joined National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions in 2001, bringing her expertise in massage and wellness to travelers exploring some of the world's most remote destinations. Her connection to life at sea runs deep; her great-grandfather was a Swedish sea captain, making her own seafaring career feel like a natural continuation of a family tradition. Since joining the expedition fleet, she has traveled from Antarctica to the Arctic and many places in between.

In addition to massage therapy, Nancy is an experienced yoga instructor. She has studied extensively with Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar, including several visits to India, and incorporates principles of movement, alignment and mindfulness into her work. Nancy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Alfred University in New York and continues to operate Cranbury Therapeutic Massage from the historic village of Cranbury, NJ.
