Lisa Wurzrainer

Lisa Wurzrainer has more than 30 years of experience in the adventure travel industry. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Colorado College and a Master of Arts in International Studies from the University of Washington.

Lisa began her shipboard and operational career in the early 1990s and has worked in expedition travel ever since. Over the decades, she has held both shoreside and shipboard roles, providing a broad understanding of expedition operations and guest experience. She has served as Cruise Director and Expedition Leader aboard small expedition vessels accommodating 65 to 130 guests and has traveled on all seven continents.

Her experience spans a wide range of operational and leadership responsibilities, including voyage planning, logistics, guest services and expedition management. Working in diverse environments around the world has given her experience adapting to changing conditions while supporting safe and well-executed operations.

Lisa believes travel can foster greater understanding of people, cultures and places. She values opportunities to connect travelers with the destinations they visit and to help create experiences that encourage learning and exploration.

When not at sea, Lisa divides her time between Whidbey Island in Washington State and a small village in the Austrian Alps.
