Brenya Green
Brenya is a polar expedition guide and naturalist from southern Ontario, Canada, who has worked aboard expedition ships since 2016. She has guided throughout both polar regions, leading expeditions across Antarctica, including the Falkland Islands and South Georgia, as well as the Canadian Arctic, Greenland, and Svalbard. Her travels have taken her as far south as 69°S and as far north as 82°N. She has also guided voyages in Iceland, Nova Scotia, Quebec, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Scotland, and East Africa.
Before joining the expedition cruise industry, Brenya worked in social work after studying Community & Justice Services in Toronto. Those years shaped her people-first approach, a perspective that has translated naturally to expedition travel in some of the world's most remote places. Her experience combines expedition operations, field guiding, and guest engagement, allowing her to create meaningful experiences while supporting seamless operations behind the scenes. She has managed complex expedition logistics, led cultural and natural history interpretation, and regularly operated Zodiac excursions in a wide range of weather and sea conditions.
Between expeditions, Brenya and her partner are building an off-grid cabin, a passion project centered on simplicity, sustainability, and a close connection to the outdoors. She enjoys sharing her appreciation for remote environments, wildlife, and local cultures, helping guests better understand the remarkable places they explore through thoughtful interpretation and firsthand experience in the field.
