Alex D'Souza

Alex brings more than 21 years of experience in hospitality, management and expedition guiding, developed through an extensive career aboard cruise vessels around the world. His work has taken him to some of the planet's most remote regions, including multiple seasons in Antarctica and South Georgia, where he guided guests ashore and led Zodiac excursions while interpreting the wildlife, history and landscapes of the polar environment.

His career at sea has provided opportunities to work with travelers from a wide range of backgrounds and to explore destinations across the globe. These experiences have contributed to a broad understanding of expedition operations, guest experience and the logistical demands of remote travel.

Outside of his professional life, Alex enjoys travel and exploration. Over the years, he has visited diverse environments, from the jungles of Borneo and the savannas of South Africa to the natural landscapes of Peru, Costa Rica and Panama. An avid diver, he has explored marine environments in Malaysia, Indonesia, South Africa and Thailand. When at home, he enjoys traveling and camping throughout the United States and Canada, hiking remote trails and exploring rugged canyon landscapes.

Alex divides his time between India and the south of France when not at sea. His interests in travel, diving, nature and outdoor exploration continue to shape both his personal and professional life. Known for his calm presence and global perspective, he enjoys helping travelers feel comfortable, engaged and connected to the places they visit.
